Celebrating 100 years 1907 - 2007 |
| |
A Legend is Born - At the turn of the last century Alfred Heurich, a young architectural student developed and patented a folding kayak made out of wood, bamboo rods and a canvas 'skin'. The inspiration for his design originated from the centuries old Inuit kayaks fashioned out of animal hides, wood and whale bones. |
